Teeth whitening is a relatively quick and inexpensive way of brightening your smile. We offer a chairside and an at-home bleaching system, both are safe and comfortable.  Before whitening, we recommend a thorough examination and hygiene appointment to professionally clean your teeth. Any leaking or discoloured fillings may need to be replaced and.

Your chair-side tooth whitening visit will include:

• Pre-shade photographs will be taken to determine the initial colour and shade of your teeth.
• Retractors will be placed in your mouth to allow easy access to the teeth and keep the soft tissues away from the whitening gel
• Barrier cream will be placed on your gums to reduce bleaching of the soft tissues.
• The whitening gel will be placed on each that you want to whiten.
• When the process is completed, the retractors and gum barrier are removed, and a post-treatment shade photo is taken.

Results will vary depending upon the original colour of your teeth and factors such as your diet and smoking status. It should be noted that some stains and existing fillings will not whiten. Too much whitening can give your teeth a translucent grey look, which will make them look darker and thinner.
